Skift Take: Hmmm. Has Mrs. Merkel been listening to Lufthansa Group CEO Carsten Spohr? He has been criticizing discount airlines, including Ryanair, for contributing more than their share of pollution. This German government plan would have a bigger impact on discount airlines than full-service ones, according to Bloomberg. Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary can’t like that.
